Things are changing for the better -I think...

When last we left our heroine she was in on her way to a job fair. Recently she has discovered the results of this endeavor-she now has a new job....Yeah, so I'm pretty excited for the summer because I was hired by Moonlight Ampitheatre in Vista for 2 shows this summer. I'm going to be working backstage on Annie and Hairspray and it is such an amazing opportunity. Moonlight is really well known and respected in the San Diego theatre scene and an awesome opening into the field and I'm pretty sure they really liked me. They even hired me on as an hourly employee on top of the $450 per show that I'm guaranteed just in case they want to pull me in for load-in and construction work. Yeah, apparently I sold my skills pretty well at my interview.
As amazing as this opportunity is, it may be the death of me because contrary to my last post I will not be going back to my summer camp job. I will be staying at the preschool. I have already assumed the role of lead teacher in the class I was teaching with my cousin and I was offered a significant raise to stay and take over for her. That means that July-mid September I will be working Monday-Friday 8 hours a day and another 4-6 hours every evening Wednesday-Sunday. I will have no life and very little sleep. Hopefully it's just really good training for when I do eventually leave the preschool and start working my way up by taking some hardly paying theatre job and whatever else I need to make ends meet. I have faith it will all work out.
In other super exciting news my family has welcomed a sweet new addition. Gunnar Ardon Roy Manning was born May 5, 2011 at right around 6:45 pm. He is SO cute and obviously has perfect timing, arriving just before Mother's Day so his mommy could have her baby and his grandma could be over the moon happy in baby bliss. Apparently, his older cousin Stella has decided she has to up the ante to keep some of the limelight, she has become a crawling machine!
